Historically, the cabling of buildings has followed the logic that provides for an infrastructure for the connections of devices and equipment "service by service": electrical system, video door entry system, TV system, telephone system.
Each service has its own system. The result is a "layered" cabling which obviously needs space, a lot of copper, with serious inconveniences not only for construction but also for maintenance, expansion and use. Cost, functionality and reliability are affected.
"Structuring" the cabling means giving certain rules, following which, a single structure is created , once and for all, multifunctional , on which multiple services can rely with great reliability, efficiency and easy expandability.
