Of course, this cabling system must be checked on site. That is why the standard was developed and approved, which defines the methods of measurement and laboratory testing of Category 8 cables. This is how the field test standards for Category 8 cable systems appeared. The existing field test standards supporting the TIA 568 series of standards version was added for 2G field testing (the name 2G stands for Accuracy Level and came from the need for Category 8 testing at 2 GHz).
If you are familiar with the accuracy levels of the previous cable categories then you may be wondering why the next level is not named IV. This is because accuracy levels IV and V already exist in the standards for Class F and FA cabling systems. The standard was approved for publication at the end of 2016.
