cnci certification

LAN cable certifies are the first choice when it comes to certifying twisted pair cabling. But why should installers even certify the cabling? And what is the difference between a certifies and other devices from the LAN tester category? Dan Barrera,  Networks Global Product Manager, has the answers.

The first two elements of  cabling are the cable and the connectors. The third is the entire installation of these components. And it is precisely this element that the LAN cable certifies tests. High-quality connectors and cables meet their performance promise 100% when they are installed under laboratory conditions. But on-site installation has significantly different requirements.

When installing under real conditions, it can happen that the cable is stretched, kinked, squashed, installed at high air temperatures, in high humidity or not properly connected. The installers must test the attainable performance characteristics of the cabling to ensure that the installed components result in an equally high quality and complete cabling system.
