Handle components and cards with care. Do not touch the components or contacts on the card. Hold the card by the edges or by a metal mounting bracket. Hold a component (such as a processor) by its edges, not by its contacts. When removing the cable, pull on the plug or pull-tab, not on the cable.
Some cables have a plug with a locking tab; if you remove such a cable, press the locking tabs before removing the cable. When unplugging, pull all sides evenly so as not to bend the pins. Also, make sure that both terminals are oriented and aligned before connecting the cable.
